Anushka Sharma was born on 1st May 1988. Anushka entered the showbiz with dreams of becoming a supermodel. Before she started acting, she was a successful model and was associated with campaigns for Silk & Shine, Nathella Jewellery, Fiat Palio, Lakme Fashion Week, etc. Anushka was lucky enough to grab a 3 film contract with Yash Raj Films to give a kick start to her acting career.
Her first film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008) opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan became a huge hit. She then went on to work in films that got her a huge fan following as well as critical acclaim.
She has been seen in hit films like Badmaash Company (2010), Band Baaja Baaraat (2010), Patiala House (2011), Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012) and PK (2014) quite early in her career.
Recently released thriller NH 10 (2015) was appreciated as Anushka’s best performance till now. Anushka is definitely one of the promising actresses in Bollywood today. She has already won 5 prestigious Awards in her 11 films old career.
Anushka was caught up in a plastic surgery controversy quite early in her career. When she came as a guest on famous celebrity talk show Koffee with Karan, her lips caught the kind of attention she wouldn’t have wished for even in her nightmares!
A drastic change was seen in her lips. Many rumors about a lip job that the actress possibly had immediately came up.
Anushka might have gone for the surgery with a desire to have fuller lips. Post surgery however, her lips looked abnormally swollen as if they were bee stung.
People were shocked to see what the actress ended up doing to her face. Her lower lip appeared disproportionally bigger than the upper one.
They became the most prominent feature of her face after surgery. Her new, enhanced lips didn’t even allow her to smile as before.
Earlier her lips curled inwards as she smiled giving her a chirpy wide smile. Now, her lips restricted her smile taking a lot away from the cuteness she was known for.
The rumors became so strong that Anushka had to take to Twitter to respond to them. She claimed that her ‘out of proportion’ lips were a result of some temporary lip enhancing tools coupled with other makeup techniques.
She explained that she used these tools to get the perfect look for the role of a jazz singer in the 1960s-70s for her film Bombay Velvet (2015).
Anushka not only denied the lip job completely but also said that she was against the idea of making unnatural changes to her body. She said she doesn’t support or stand for or recommend any sort of plastic procedures.
