Jane Fonda was born on 21 December 1937. Born in a filmy family, Fonda first appeared on screen in Tall Story (1960). Jane went on to make a splendid career in films. Some of the her most acclaimed performances have been in films like Klute (1971), Coming Home (1978), They Shoot Horses, Don’t They (1969), Julia (1977), The China Syndrome (1979), The Morning After (1986) and On Golden Pond (1981). Throughout her career she has received 48 wins and 38 nominations at various Awards. Jane has also won the Oscar twice for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Klute and Coming Home.
Jane was also ranked #21 in the 100 Sexiest Stars in Film History by Empire Magazine in 1995. Since she crossed her primes, Jane has been working extremely hard to fight signs of ageing and she has been able to do so successfully. However, unlike many other Hollywood stars she has never shied away from admitting that she went under the knife to have the looks she flaunts. In 2010 she said that, “I have had work done on my chin and neck and had the bags taken away from under my eyes.” Apart from these, it is suspected that she also opted for a nose job, lip job, cosmetic dentistry and a Botox.
The use of Botox is clearly evident on Jane’s face. There is no trace of any wrinkle or fine lines on her face. Dr. Ayham Al-Ayouti notes how her forehead remains smooth and wrinkle free even when she is smiling!
It is suspected that Jane went for a face and neck lift more than twice since saggy, crepe like skin has never been spotted on her chin and neck. It is simply impossible for a 77 year old to avoid the faintest signs of ageing without regular cosmetic interventions. The absence of crow’s feet in the region around her eyes is the effect of a blepharoplasty (upper as well as lower eyelid surgery) that she had admitted.
A comparison of her pictures from her early years with the recent ones shows a change in the shape and size of her nose as well. Her nasal bridge is extremely straight with a perfectly pointed tip indicating a rhinoplasty. Even though it is not a drastic change Jane definitely got it reconstructed to make it slightly smaller.
Jane’s dazzling smile is also suspected to be a result of plastic surgery. Experts believe that it wouldn’t be possible to retain that sparkling grin for all these years without some artificial assistance. A quite visible use of fillers has been noted by Dr. Al Ayouti notes, “In some photographs there are microscopic lumps visible”. These lumps are a result of fillers and skin plumping chemical.
Jane has always been open to the idea of making artificial enhancements to her. She went on record to say that, “I wish I were brave enough to not do plastic surgery but I think I bought myself a decade”. She is happy to look much younger than her age.
