This versatile actor was born on June 9, 1963. He made his film debut with a low budget horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street in 1984. The project that turned out to be his ticket to fame was 21 Jump Street (1987). He got a chance to replace Jeff Yagher as an undercover cop. It was the title role in the film Edward Scissorhands (1990) that gave him the kind of fame he always wanted.
He went on to work in hit films such as Ed Wood (1994), Donnie Brasco (1997), Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998), The Astronaut’s Wife (1999) and Sleepy Hollow (1999) that gave him fame as well as critical acclaim. Since then the actor has continued delivering super hit films like Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), Alice in Wonderland (2010), Pirates of the Caribbean series (2007), Dark Shadows (2012), etc.
He has been nominated for the Oscar thrice foe his splendid performances in Pirates of the Caribbean: The curse of the Black Pearl (2003), Finding Neverland (2004) and Sweeny Told (2007) and has another 87 nominations and 59 wins throughout his career.
Depp was also #1 on the Empire magazine’s 100 Sexiest Stars in Film History list. There have never been strong rumors about any form of surgery that the actor underwent. At the age of 50, he continues to look as gorgeous as he did in his 30.
Going by his great looks many people think that he must have resorted to some kind of cosmetic procedure to maintain them. Depp might have opted for minimal conservative methods like Botox, fillers or a chemical face peel.
Dr. Paul S Nassif agrees that “Johnny Depp doesn’t seem to have had any major work performed on his face. There is a possibility of Botox and fillers, but that is about all. His look is natural and he wouldn’t benefit from any additional work.
The wrinkles that were seen on his forehead and around the eyes a few years back have decreased in his recent pictures indicating a Botox that the actor had.
He was also quite fat sometime at one point of time and has shed weight to become slimmer now. However the skin sagging that happens with weight loss is nowhere to be seen on his face. This indicates a facelift that the Depp might have gone through.
If one takes a look at the early pictures of Depp, a slight difference in his nose can also be noted. He had a flat, larger nose than what has been seen in his pictures for over decades now. Perhaps Johnny had a rhinoplasty quite early in his career. His nose is well defined with a pointed tip, even when many people claim that it is still asymmetrical.
The procedures that Johnny Depp has have never been overdone and he retains his natural looks even after them. It is not easy to confirm whether he really had these procedures or not. Perhaps that is the reason behind a ridiculously bizarre theory that has come up about the actor’s forever young appearance. Albert Linkway, author of “Nosferatu : The Untold Stories of Vampires in Hollywood” chooses to believe that Depp is in fact a Vampire who never ages!!!
