Lark Voorhies began her acting career at a young age of 11 when she appeared on Small Wonder. She became famous for her work in films like Good Morning, Miss Bliss (1987), Saved by the Bell (1989), How to be a Player (1997), Fire and Ice (2001), How High (2001), etc. She has been nominated for the Young Artist Award four times from 1989-1993 and has won the same twice for her outstanding performance in Saved by the Bell. Apart from films, Voorhies has also been involved in writing and music.
Voorhies has been absent from the public eye for quite sometime. The reason for this as stated by her mother was that she had some mental issues. When Voorhies did make a rare public appearance, she was noticed for all the wrong reasons. What immediately brought her back into limelight were her completely changed looks. She was no longer the charming teenage girl who had won everyone’s heart. In fact Voorhies appeared worse than what she would have naturally at the age of 40.
A clear impact of various plastic procedures was visible on her face. She possibly got a rhinoplasty (commonly known as a nose job), eyelid surgery, filler injections and Botox. Unfortunately, most of the cosmetic enhancements seemed unnecessary and had only made her look artificial. A few botox injections were acceptable given her age, early 40s being a high time for any celeb to start worrying about maintaining a youthful appearance. Lark Voorhies had however gone overboard with the rest.
The smooth, wrinkle free skin seen in her recent pictures is definitely appreciable. But the skin around her eyes appears a bit too strained suggesting an eye lift along with a face lift. Added to this is the bloating effect that an excess of fillers had all over her face making her skin appear unnecessarily stretched.
Lark even tampered with her naturally dusky complexion as she took a skin lightening treatment. A marked difference in her complexion can be seen when one compares her before and after pictures. The color of her skin is lighter than what it used to be in the past.
She might have also adopted a rhinoplasty to refine her nose. Not only is her nose tip well defined now but she has even managed to get rid of the comparatively wider nasals she had.
Lark’s new look has received mixed responses. Many suggest that her strange and awkward looks are in fact a result of bipolar disorder and Lupus that she suffers from. Her decision to use cosmetic procedures at a time when it was really not needed has only helped her look further unnatural.
