Marion Cotillard is a famous actress of French origin, who was born on 30 September 1975 in Paris and was raised in Orleans, France. She began her career with minor appearances in theater and television. She got her first leading role in the TV film Chloe (1996).
It was her role in the Taxi series (Taxi 1, Taxi 2 and Taxi 3) that got her real fame. She was nominated as the Most Promising Actress in 1999 for this role at Cesar Awards. She moved ahead to work in famous projects like Highlands (1999), Pretty Things (2001), Love Me if You Dare (2003), etc.
After making a strong place for herself in French cinema Cotillard then turned to Hollywood and worked in movies like Big Fish (2003), A Good Year (2006), A Very Long Engagement (2004). The movie La Vie en Rose (2007) got her international recognition. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress, a BAFTA Award and a Golden Globe for the film.
It took Cotillard’s career to new heights as she bagged roles in big budget Hollywood films opposite famous stars. She was seen in films like Mann’s Public Enemies (2009), Nine (2009), Inception (2011), Midnight in Paris (2011), Contagion (2011), The Dark Knight Rises (2012), etc.
Cotillard voiced an opinion against plastic surgeries famously in an interview in 2012. She saw the trend plastic surgery as a sad phenomenon which revealed the fear women had against ageing and the immense importance that is placed on superficial looks in Hollywood.
She would rather follow the French tradition of ageing gracefully she says. She believes that women look beautiful in their 50s – 70s even with the appearance of wrinkles and a not-so-perfect figure.
She herself looks forward to getting old since it is something that is inevitable and must be accepted gracefully instead of running away from it.
She herself would never dare to go under the knife as she is not against this idea but is also injection – phobic.
Marion Cotillard Plastic Surgery
Of late, visible changes have been noted in Cotillard’s figure which makes us doubt if she actually practiced what she preaches. The actress is suspected to have had a breast augmentation which stands in contradiction to her claims stated above.
A huge difference has been noted in her breast size. Since she already had a decent cup size, there was no need for the actress to get a boob job.
A change in her figure as she is in her early 40s can be anything but natural. Also, the use of Botox on her face cannot be denied since the actress looks very much the same as she did a decade back.
Cotillard however, has never confirmed any surgical procedure she is rumored to have undergone. Giving her the benefit of doubt one might think that she indeed did not go for major surgeries that would make her face the fear of needles.
However the use of non surgical enhancements behind her flawless beauty cannot always be doubted.
