An outsider might claim that the hot brunette gained so much weight due to her careless attitude towards fitness and her love for junk food, the truth is a completely different story. Sources closer to Selena revealed that the main reason behind her sudden weight gain is the medicines that she takes to treat her Lupus. Besides the medications, it is undeniable that her irregular eating habits too did play a part in her road to weight gain.

She is substituting her beloved milkshakes with dairy-free substitutes such as soy or almond milk which has other benefits too, it is better for the voice, and digestion. She has had to say goodbye to candy bars and embrace alternatives such as peanut butter with banana. To keep the iron level high in her body, she takes food klike turkey, an egg or some lentils and soyabeans. But, you didn’t think she’d give up the junk all together! Of course not she follows the 80-20 rule. So her diet includes 80% unprocessed, organic foods and 20% fatty and junk foods. That way she can have the best of both worlds!


If course it wasn’t her diet alone that lead to her fabulous body. It was a combined result of her diet and vigorous cardio. But knowing her unique personality, she wouldn’t just work out in the gym, like an ordinary person. Oh no! Gomez works out in the form of dancing. Her eccentric dance workout is a mix of ballet, Pilates and a bit of light weight work with a series of core shaping stretches. Selena Gomez is one celebrity who doesn’t care what people say. She lives her life on her own terms and this time, she has unequivocally proved that she can easily do what she puts her mind to.
