Shah Rukh Khan started his career with TV shows like Circus and Fauji. He made his Bollywood debut with the film Deewana (1992) that became a huge hit. Unlike many other actors who opt for the role of a hero in the start of their career, SRK started by playing villainous characters in films like Darr (1993), Baazigar (1993) and Anjaam (1994). It was the film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) that made SRK the superstar that he is. He then went on to deliver blockbuster hits like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Yes Boss (1997), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Pardes (1997), Josh (2000), Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Devdas (2002), Chalte Chalte (2003), Kal Ho Na Ho (2003), Om Shanti Om (2007),etc. SRK also got critical acclaim for his work in films like My Name is Khan (2010), Chak De! India (2007), Asoka (2001) and Swades (2004). Throughout his career the actor has 56 wins and 48 nominations at various Awards.
Even as the actor enters his 50s, he remains to be as young as he was 20 years back. It seems like he is ageing backwards. His face shows absolutely no signs of ageing like wrinkles, frown lines or crow’s feet. The wrinkles that were visible on his face some years back are no longer seen. It has been rumored for quite some time now that SRK has maintained a refreshed and youthful appearance with the help of Botox. However he never over did it and looks natural even after regular doses of it.
Apart from Botox, it is suspected that he also went for a lip job and nose job years back. There is a slight difference that can be noted in his looks if one compares the pictures taken at the start of his career with the ones taken some years back. The change however, is so minute that it could very much have been a natural one coming with age.
The actor himself has always denied going for any surgical procedures. In fact in an interview he seemed quite baffled with all such rumors.
“Maybe I look older, but then when I look younger, people say I get plastic surgeries done to my face. When I look old, they say I am over and done with. But the fact is that when I sleep well, I look young and when I don’t get enough sleep, I look old.”
If the actor did go for these surgeries, the results have never been drastic enough to make him look unnatural. The changes are subtle and appreciable giving him the looks that completely justify his name that means ‘the one whose face is like a king’.
